The percutaneous peripheral interventions on a lower extremities is a modern minimally invasive method of treating chronic ischemia and preventing life-threatening complications (gangrene, amputation).
The full scale of operations on lower extremities has been introduced in a limited number of international clinics; it requires highly qualified operating personnel and access to modern endovascular technologies. The essence of the procedure:
The operation is performed using a puncture without a surgical incision. The operation of angioplasty and stenting is performed under local anesthesia. After the operation, the patient is under the supervision of doctors at the Scandinavian Health Center for 24 hours and is discharged the next day.
